An Introduction to Networks

Networks

A network can be described as a group or system of interconnected people or things, and in the world of digital, which also encompasses blockchain, we’re referring to connected devices.

Now, remember, a device does not necessarily have to be a desktop computer or laptop, in fact in today's tech-enabled world, devices come in all shapes and forms, including everything from smartphones, smartwatches and even smart speakers, so long as the device in question has the ability to connect to other similar devices via some means, for example, via a cable, over Bluetooth, a wifi connection etc.

And as blockchain technology requires a network in order to operate, let's take a quick look at two of the most popular types of network i.e. client-server and peer-to-peer networks.
